We were proud to be part of this year’s Lancashire Agricultural Show, spending three fantastic days meeting people, sharing our passion for timber, and showcasing what Treecycle is all about.
As a business passionate about sustainability and craftsmanship, it was inspiring to meet with so many people who care about making the most of what’s already growing in our landscapes.
What we brought to the show
Our stand featured examples of our on-site portable sawmilling, bespoke timber products, and a few of the beautiful pieces we’ve milled from locally sourced trees. We also spent plenty of time explaining how we help landowners, builders, and makers turn felled or fallen trees into beams, planks, and other usable timber, all while reducing waste and preserving the story of the wood.
It’s always rewarding to see visitors’ reactions when they realise how much potential there is in trees that might otherwise be chipped, burned, or discarded. A big part of what we do is helping people see their wood as a resource to be cherished and turned into something meaningful and lasting.
Why events like this matter
The Lancashire Agricultural Show is more than just a day out, it’s a celebration of the region’s rich rural heritage, and a reminder of the importance of supporting local businesses and sustainable practices.
For us, it’s a chance to meet like-minded people, learn about their projects and challenges, and spread the word about the environmental and economic benefits of using local timber. Every conversation is an opportunity to share how Treecycle can help people get more from their land while caring for the planet. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who visited our stand over the three days, whether you popped over for a quick chat, shared your own timber story, or asked about how we can help with a future project.
If you didn’t manage to catch us at the show but want to learn more about what we do, you can always get in touch through our website or give Keith a call!
We look forward to seeing you at the next event and continuing to help turn trees into something useful, beautiful, and full of character.
